The kurta and bottom is thoughtfully handwoven in soft, breathable ikat cotton. It is paired with a delicate kota cotton dupatta, equally handwoven, and elevated with hand-painted Kalamkari motifs created using natural dyes. Each brushstroke tells a story, making every piece truly one of a kind.
About the craft
Pen Kalamkari is an art form practised in Srikalahasti, Andhra Pradesh wherein the "kalam" or pen is used for drawing of the subject and filling in the colors, is entirely hand worked. The motifs are inspired by scenes from epics and mythology and flora, fauna.

- To prepare the cloth for kalamkari painting, it goes through the application of many natural ingredients like buffalo milk and fermented jiggery, and thats the reason that these fabrics have an inherent smell.
