This National Handloom Day, we are beyond thrilled to introduce our newest cluster launch: The Ilkal Craft stories.

To honor the beauty of Indian weaving, we brought together two distinct craft traditions in seamless harmony—pairing the rich, distinct borders of Ilkal with the fine woven check textures of Telangana.

About the fabric

These pure handloom kurta fabrics are woven in Telangana. 

About Ilkal Craft

Heritage: Centuries-old Karnataka craft with a Geographical Indication (GI) tag.
Tope Teni Join: Body and pallu are woven separately and interlocked via special loops.
3-Shuttle Weave: Uses Kondi technique to craft bold, contrasting side borders.
Cotton-Silk Blend: Breathable cotton body paired with rich silk borders and pallu.
Iconic Motifs: Characterized by vibrant color contrasts and temple Chikki Paras borders.

• • Kurta: 2.5m handwoven orange checkered pure cotton from telangana cluster
  • Bottom: 2.5m handwoven lime green checkered pure cotton from telangana cluster
  • Dupatta: Pure cotton 2.4m and above and 44 inch wide handwoven ilkal dupatta. the dupatta body has woven assymetrical stripe weaving next to borders.

Fabric care

• First time dry clean recommended
• Wash with mild detergent afterwards
• Do not soak for long hours
