About the craft and fabric
- Kotpad handloom fabric is the first item from Odisha that received the Geographical Indication of India tag in 2005
- The fabric yarns tend to be little coarse and are a perfect pick for summers and winters
- The buttis are woven using extra weft weaving technique and reflect typical tribal designs such as fish, crab, butterfly, pigeon, duck, boat, hand fan, temple and many more
